OUR STORY
The United Brethren movement began in the fires of revival, with two pastors of different denominations embracing with the declaration, "We are brothers." Other pastors and lay people joined together, willing to lay aside their personal preferences and denominational distinctives, so that the Gospel would be taken to all parts of the American frontier.
Bethany Evangelical Church also began as two congregations, and that same Spirit guided our pastors and members as we joined our congregations together into one, brand-new church in the fall of 2000, and that Spirit continues to shape us in love for the fulfillment of His purposes. We are thankful for what God has done through Bethany Evangelical Christian Church and through Immanuel United Brethren Church. We rejoice in His good work in us now, and look forward with anticipation to what He will accomplish through our new Bethany Evangelical Church as we labor together "for the faith of the Gospel."
